State Scenic Highway 221 covers all of Route 221 in Napa County, a short connector at the southern edge of Napa Valley wine country. Running from State Route 29 near Soscol Road to State Route 121 at Imola Avenue in the city of Napa, the brief corridor passes vineyard land and rolling hills characteristic of the valley's southern reaches near the Napa River, and its entire alignment has been placed on California's list of highways eligible for State Scenic Highway status because of that setting.
