State Scenic Highway 71 runs 15 miles from State Route 91 in Corona to the Kellogg Interchange on the Pomona-San Dimas border. It's eligible for California's scenic highway program but has not been officially designated by Caltrans. The southern half, from SR 91 to SR 83 in Chino Hills, is known as the Corona Freeway, while the northern half beyond SR 83 carries the name Chino Valley Freeway. The route crosses the rolling grassland of Chino Hills between the Inland Empire and the eastern Los Angeles suburbs, functioning today mainly as a commuter freeway rather than a destination scenic drive.
