Guanella Pass Road connects Georgetown and Grant over an 11,669-foot pass on the eastern flank of the Continental Divide. The pass is the standard starting point for hiking Mount Bierstadt, one of the most popular fourteeners in Colorado, and overlooks the sawtooth ridge to Mount Blue Sky. The willow-filled basin at the summit blazes gold and orange with aspen and tundra color in autumn.
