Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail forms a 34-mile double loop through coastal Volusia County, between Flagler Beach and Daytona Beach. It carries a federal National Scenic Byway designation. The loop provides access to North Peninsula, Bulow Creek, and Tomoka state parks, along with beaches, rivers, and hammocks that make up some of the least developed coastal scenery left in central Florida. Canopy roads along North Beach Street, Old Dixie Highway, and Walter Boardman Lane, shaded by old live oaks, are a particular draw for motorcyclists during the cooler months. Boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, and beach walking round out the recreation available along the route.
