Midway-Versailles Road is a 6.3-mile Kentucky state byway on US 62 through the heart of the Bluegrass region's thoroughbred horse country. Designated a State Byway in 1995, the short route runs between Parrish Avenue in the small railroad town of Midway and US 60 in Versailles, passing a string of manicured horse farms, including Fawn Leap, Shadowlawn, Adena Springs, Stonewall, and Land's End, each fronted by the black plank fences and stone walls the region is known for. Unlike some of Kentucky's history-themed byways, this one is defined almost entirely by its equestrian scenery rather than battlefield or settlement history, making it a favorite quick detour for visitors touring the Lexington horse-farm circuit. The drive takes only about 15 minutes end to end, but the density of farms along such a short stretch makes it one of the most concentrated views of Bluegrass horse country available from a public road.
