This byway follows Bayou Teche through the heart of Louisiana's Cajun country, linking towns like Breaux Bridge, St. Martinville, and New Iberia along a slow, moss-draped waterway lined with sugarcane. The region is steeped in Acadian history — St. Martinville is tied to the legend of Evangeline — and in food, from crawfish in Breaux Bridge to Tabasco at Avery Island.
