US-20 crosses the panhandle of northwestern Nebraska from the Missouri River to the Wyoming line, ending in butte-and-badlands country. It passes the badlands of Toadstool Geologic Park, the cavalry-era Fort Robinson, and — near Alliance — the quirky Carhenge, a replica of Stonehenge built from vintage automobiles. The High Plains scenery grows more dramatic toward the west.
