State Route 375 was officially renamed the Extraterrestrial Highway for the lonely stretch of high desert it crosses past the edge of the secretive Area 51 military base. The tiny outpost of Rachel, with its alien-themed cafe, is the only services for many empty miles of sagebrush basin and range. Reported UFO sightings and the road's eerie emptiness are the whole draw.
