White Mountain Trail

White Mountain Trail is a State Scenic Byway in New Hampshire. Within New Hampshire it covers roughly 85 miles. The map below shows its route. This loop ties together the great notches of New Hampshire's White Mountains — Franconia, Crawford, and Pinkham — linking many of the region's signature sights. It passes through Franconia Notch beneath the cliffs that once held the Old Man of the Mountain, the Flume Gorge, and the grand resort scenery around the Mount Washington Hotel. The route is a sampler of the White Mountain National Forest's best.
