This byway, largely along US-64 around Highlands and Cashiers in the southern Blue Ridge of North Carolina, passes one of the densest concentrations of waterfalls in the East. Roadside Bridal Veil Falls is so accessible you can drive behind it, and nearby Dry Falls lets you walk beneath the cascade without getting wet. The high plateau country stays cool and green through summer.
