Gateway to Amish Country is a state scenic byway in north-central Ohio. It forms the approach into the Holmes County Amish Country core, rather than a loop through its heart, running near the Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area, which spans both Wayne and Holmes counties, and past the Mohican River and Mohawk Reservoir near Brinkhaven and Stillwell, where the drive transitions from rolling Wayne County farmland into the more concentrated Amish settlements around Berlin and Millersburg. Gateway towns like Winesburg and Wilmot mark the northeastern entrance. It's a distinct, separately signed state byway from the federally designated Amish Country Byway that runs through Holmes County itself, though the two are meant to be driven together as a single regional experience.
