This byway follows the corridor of the old Ohio & Erie Canal between Cleveland and the Ohio River, its centerpiece the Cuyahoga Valley National Park between Cleveland and Akron. The park preserves the canal towpath, restored locks, waterfalls like Brandywine Falls, and a scenic railroad that runs through the wooded valley. River, canal, and forest run together in a green ribbon between two cities.
