Scenic Olentangy Heritage Corridor runs 10.5 miles along the Olentangy River between Franklin and Delaware counties, just north of Columbus, Ohio. The route follows trails first used by Native Americans along the riverbank, continuing from I-270 in Franklin County to US 23 in Delaware County. Farms and sawmills gradually stripped away much of the original scenery as the area was settled, but Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks have spent decades on forest restoration, returning long sections of the corridor to something closer to its natural state. It's a short, accessible slice of river scenery for a metro area that has otherwise grown up quickly around it.
