The Mirror Lake Highway (State Route 150) climbs from Kamas into the high Uinta Mountains, crossing Bald Mountain Pass at over 10,700 feet — one of the highest paved roads in Utah. Across roughly 55 miles it passes Provo River Falls, dozens of glacial lakes, and the namesake Mirror Lake beneath the Bald and Hayden peaks. The high country opens for only a few months a year; snow gates the road through much of fall, winter, and spring.
