US-189 threads Provo Canyon between Orem and Heber City, running beneath the steep west face of Mount Timpanogos along the Provo River. The highlight is Bridal Veil Falls, a 600-foot double-cataract that drops right beside the road, with a paved riverside trail popular for cycling. The canyon also gives access to Sundance, the mountain resort founded by Robert Redford.
