Wyoming Route 130 crosses the Medicine Bow Mountains over Snowy Range Pass at 10,847 feet, the second-highest highway crossing in the state. The quartzite spine of the Snowy Range glistens above a basin of alpine lakes, with the Libby Flats overlook taking in a sweep of tundra and peaks. Heavy snow keeps the high road closed well into summer most years.
